Online shopping in Sweden is common. I learnt some good online shops from my Swedish friends, and I find these websites really helpful when doing online shopping. Here are some websites that you can do some research before buying.
Compare price among online shops
Compare price among online shops
prisjakt: I find this website really useful. You can compare almost everything among online shops ranging from clothes, smartphone, camera, and air ticket. However, this website does not include price from Amazon which is sometimes worth comparing to Amazon. You may find prisjakt in other countries in Europe as well, but the name may be different. For instance, in UK this website is named "pricespy.co.uk"!
pricerunner: this website has many languages depending on the country they have office. Thus, you may find pricerunner in UK, France or other countries as well. Pricerunner has the same functionality as prisjakt with slightly different interface. One plus point is that pricerunner include price from Amazon in the comparison list.
Student discount website
mecenat: There are many discounts for students. Please check the website in case you need them. The website needs username and password. You can find the username and password from your student card. Normally, the card will be sent to you within an envelop. The letter contains both username and password. Dont throw it away!
blocket: it is very similar to Ebay. Thus, be aware of fraud. Most sellers are individual. I think most of them do not reply your text message at all. The good way to contact them is to by telephoning and you are ready to discuss and reach agreement.
If you need a bike, blocket is the place you should look for. The price is around 400 SEK to 700 SEK for second-hand bike. If the price exceeds that, I think people take advantage on the demanding market on new students. There are facebook groups which students buy and sell their stuff including their bike. The bike price is almost always cheaper than any other place. Ask your friends if they know such facebook groups.
